According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of people diagnosed with cancer each year will reach 24 million by 2035. Although this is a significant cause for concern, many of these diagnoses are prevented.
The Association Medical Oncology of India is formed to dig in deeper and possibly eradicate catastrophic cancer disease. The pioneering, passionate members in Oncology from Bangalore have collaborated to bring ground breaking oncology expertise to the forefront, showcasing what is now achievable in the area of cancer management.

This association aims to encourage scientific investigation in the study of cancer. Additionally, it seeks to provide instruction and education to deserving members by awarding scholarships, donations, allowances, gratuities, guarantees and otherwise for their benefit, establishing, conducting and controlling institutions for promoting and impart education, conducting research in medical & paediatric oncology medicine and provide a forum for discussion of oncological topics on a national scale, etc. tackles cancer, a growing concern.
The Aims and Objectives of AMOI

To promote and advance the knowledge, study and practice of the science of medical oncology.

To promote and conduct clinical/experimental research and development directly or indirectly in medical oncology.

To hold and organise conferences, continuing medical programs, etc., to study and understand problems related to medical oncology and its allied branches.

To give grants and awards by way of scholarship, donations, subscriptions, allowances and gratuities to the benefit of deserving students, scholars and other persons worthy of receiving such grants.

To make rules prescribing standards of professional conduct for the association members.

To print, publish, and distribute periodicals, journals, textbooks, etc., on medical oncology.

To suggest improvements and betterment in the standards of laboratory testing concerned with medical oncology.

To suggest, study, advise or take part in the framing of laws, rules and regulations affecting the science and practice of medical oncology.

To construct, provide, regulate and maintain buildings, rooms or other structures for the association and to alter, add or remove any of them.

To make by-laws, rules and regulations of the association and to delete, change or add to the same as required by the association from time to time.
